I will Praise You in this Storm

Our precious friends, Rick and Carolyn, sang this song on Sunday. They may not know it - but it was just for me...

I wept as I listened...
Just as I am now...
I wish I had a video of them singing... but for this post I will share this video from Casting Crowns.
We are praising Him in this storm...

I love this song.
We can only praise Him in the storm when we know that we are not our destiny is not to die there. We can rest knowing that. We can know that Jesus is with me and He is victorious over every storm including this one. He is not going down with this storm. Therefore, neither am I.

Thanks for sharing this DeeDee

9 months ago today my husband lost his job. During that time, we dealt with Dr.'s speaking death sentences over my mother and eldest son. My home daycare business wages were cut in half, the day my husband's unemployment benefits ran out...I could go on and on....this song has become my journey song. I remember the first time I heard it. I BAWLED. Sobbing into a kleenex,,raising my hand in worship to our Lord and crying ..Lord, I WILL praise You in this storm.

It is SUCH a powerful song, the words truly speak to my heart and make me cry out to our Father....

This song spoke to both me and James on Sunday also... and it was played at my cousin's funeral... what a powerful song it is.

We continue to pray for all of you... James and I specifically prayed for Julia this morning during our prayer time together, we will continue to pray...

Blessings and prayers...

One of my alltime favorite songs. It is the ringback on my cellphone! I just love the message in it - a great reminder to Praise Him always.

Praying for you DeeDee

This song is very special to me. I too felt like it was for me on Sunday. With everything may family has and is going through in the past couple of years...I have played it numerous times ..cried, and would sometimes sing it to the top of my lungs ( I guess I didn't think God was hearing me:) anyways....I know that while things seem crazy right now God is not surprised and HE is in control. HE will give you strength and comfort! I know because HE has carried me through these storms that seem to rage all around me. Hope this helps in some way. Know that I am praying for you and family!

I am so glad that we serve a faithful God that never leaves us or forsakes us. Sometimes, praising God in the midst of the storm is all that gets us through it! Joe and I are praying for all of you each morning.

Love ya!
