Happy Birthday Jonathan

Happy Birthday my Jonathan.....
Here is the plan for those who visit with me.
I am asking that you will comment and add a birthday greeting... a special thought...fun time....memory together...etc for Jonathan to read. He should be back at Arifjan later today.....
Join me in telling him Happy Birthday...
(even those of you who never post comments.....) .
Thanks and blessings!
So... here is my comment... I added it to the blog for those who join me later and maybe do not read all the comments... :)...
Jonathan loved scaring me...and for a long time we had a small rubber snake that we passed back and forth. Of course, he was never scared when I would hide it in his pocket or drawer or wherever! However, he made me jump out of my skin MANY times! Even when Hal and I took a trip to England...Jonathan (somehow) put it in my suitcase. The really funny part is that one morning...as I got my clothes out of my suitcase... the snake fell on the floor (without me knowing it) and when I came out of the the bathroom...it was laying there...and I nearly had a heart attack! I laughed my head off and called him immediately... I did not even care that it was an international call...and that the time was not good. I told him if he was going to give me a heart attack...he at least needed to be close enough to give me a hug. We laughed and laughed at how worked just as we wanted it too. Oh, me...it has been a while since I have seen that snake. (Maybe for now, I am safe... since he is on the other side of the world)... LOL! Love you JON.

Hmm...I have lots of memories. The best memory would have to be when Jonathan proposed to me.....o, what a great night! For some reason it caught me off guard. I knew he was going to do it, but not then.

I think the funniest moment would have to be when he put a smoke bomb in Terry's bathroom while he was taking a shower. Terry got in the shower one night while Jonathan and I were sitting on the couch watching TV. Terry had been in the shower for maybe 10min when Jonathan put a smoke bomb in the bathroom. Well the bathroom imediatly filled with smoke. Terry came out breathing really hard and still have shampoo all in his hair. The smoke just came rolling out of the bathroom. It was hiliarious, although Terry didn't think so. Jonathan and I couldn't help but laugh....it was so funny! I'm just glad it was Terry and not me!

There are many other memories, and I can't wait for him to come home so that we can make many more.

I love you Jonathan, and Happy Birthday!

(this year you get to have two birthdays...one now and one when you get home!)

oh the stories we could tell... but the first that comes to mind is back when jon and i were little... and living in Ga - - we used to get up at the crack of dawn (not sure what we were thinking) and cooked breakfast for the family... watched the sunrise... and I am quite sure the breakfast was quite cold by the time mom and dad and jen all got up... but whatever.. .we made our kitchen mess:)

Memories: I keep thinking about the summer when you and Terry came to Destin to surprise Brantley and ya'll stayed in our camper. Everyone had come to our camper to watch a movie and before I went to bed...I looked back at: Julia, Andrea, Brooke, Terry and then I saw Brantley and you. You had the biggest smile on your face. I thought to myself "OH MY he is hooked". That was such a special time and I am glad to be a part of it. I am also glad that you and Terry decided to stay with us. I know this is not a funny memory, but, when I started to reflect..this is what came to my mind.
Happy Birthday!!

Hey DeeDee
What a handsome son you have!! I only hope my boys are half as handsome when they get to be Jonathan's age.

Happy Birthday Jonathan! I don't have any stories, so I expect some when you get back!

Jonathan

I always remember your talent for balancing anything and everything on your chin/nose/head.

But one thing I will alsways remember was at Kids Kamp when you were agrivating....guess who....Brantley in the gym and you grabbed her pants leg at her ankle and she fell on her butt on the concrete floor and your Mom was fussing at you but Brantley just smiled.

A few days later Cindy called me with some news that was supposed to suprise me. She said she saw Bro. Hal and he was taking Jonathan's truck to get it washed because, "MY BOY'S GOT A DATE TONIGHT!" Cindy said something like "you can't guess who it is," and I said Brantley. She said how did you know and I said I knew flirting when I saw it and I saw Jonathan beginning to get whooped at Kids Kamp. I guess I will always remember that, not because it was funny, but becasue I got to see young love at its beginning I I wasn't too blind to see it.

If Mayor Mike needs me to watch out for his other two daughters my body guard rates are fairly reasonable.

Anyway HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY JONATHAN, We miss you back here.

Jessie (Compton) Keith left this message and when i tried to moderate the comment, I accidently rejected the post...so here it is "copy and paste" from the email. Sorry Jessie....
justjessie has left a new comment on your post "Happy Birthday Jonathan":

Okay, of course I don't have memories to share of Jonathan, but I did see a home movie the other day with him in it. It was one of those Children's choir things at Brookhaven. Do y'all have copies of those too? If not, I'm sure we could send some. :)
