I always liked riding roller coasters. But this is one ride that I would like to avoid - forever.
Our son-our soldier-our warrior-our Jonathan has received that call again. This time he is going to Afghanistan. March or April.
So... once again I am calling all prayer warriors. Prayers for him, for his beautiful new wife, for the rest of the family.
Oh, and by the way - today is his birthday. Even though he is not blogging much anymore - would you do this mom a favor and go over here and leave him a comment wishing him a happy birthday and assurance of your prayers. It would do my heart good. And I am sure it would bless him too.
Thanks so much - and just know - you will hear more.

Sweet DeeDee, I just know this is ripping your heart out.
Remember, your God is faithful...
PRAYING.
Oh DeeDee... I am so sorry, I know none of you wanted him to go back... my heart just breaks for you and for Brantley... I am and will be praying...
Blessings!
I was surprised when I saw the e-mail Hal sent out. I was sooo hoping this would not happen. I am praying for Brantley and Jonathan and both families.
Blessings,
Darlene

Gayle mentioned you in her latest post, so I wanted to come over and tell you that I will be praying for you. Can't imagine how hard this would be...
Bless your Momma-heart. I know you must be concerned. Of course I will be praying for his safety as he serves our country. Popping over now to wish him a happy birthday.
DeeDee,

Oh Miss DeeDee, I'm so sorry. I can't imagine how hard this is for you and for Brantley too. I will keep you all in my prayers.
Our soldiers are always in my prayers, but now I have a specific one to be lifting up! And his Mom!!!
Father God,
Thank YOU for the gift of LIFE. For this precious Mom and her son today as they celebrate that very thing...life. I ask that You would protect them not only today, but in the coming days, weeks and months. Provide for them Father, and his wife.
Dee Dee,
I'm just said a prayer for you and your son and I'm going to go over and leave him a comment too. My son is 16 and it's he believes the Lord is calling him to serve his country too.
Blessings to you!
