My voice problem --Update -- Better but not well yet.
What a precious time sitting at HIS feet on Wednesday. Really desiring to listen. Hearing the still small voice of My Savior speaking directly to me.
As I sat back in my chair, praying... I even said, "Do I dare ask You to keep my voice till I hear what You are saying to me?" Or maybe I should say, "Lord, help me to hear you, even when I can speak!" Regardless, the prayer of my heart is to hear Him. Really Hear Him.
And then to follow...where He leads...
I have been reading "The Secrets of the Vine" again. And to be perfectly honest, I truly believe this is a time of pruning for me. For Hal. For our ministry together.
I do not have all my thoughts clear on this subject yet. But I know that God is dealing with me about several different issues here.
I am sure that I will share more in the days to come about this journey.
So... what are you dealing with lately? Anyone care to share?

Praying your voice returns fully soon. I'm sure you're enjoying listening but it must be frustrating not to be able to speak loudly or clearly when you really need to. I will be praying for your time of pruning. We are dealing with some pretty tough issues, one I can't post because my family reads my blog and I don't want them to know. I'd love to email you about it so you can be praying if you don't mind. Hugs, Laurie Ann
Girl...I am dealing with so much that there is not enough room to post it! But, thank God I have a Savior who knows all about it and is not surprised by any of it!
Praying for you!!
Have a Fabulous Friday!
I definitely feel some pruning taking place...and actually I'm looking forward to it. To see what God has in store - and not balking against it. This Christian walk is so exciting - and amazing!
Hope your voice is 100% soon!
It is such a precious thing to sit at His feet, to pray, to listen, to soak in Him. We all have the desire to hear Him. I hear Him in my mind and when He speaks that way, my pen to paper moves as fast as it can to keep up with Him. It is such an awesome time with Him. I have only heard Him once audibly and that was when I was sitting in the middle of a church service and He had a word for a brother in the church. I heard four words just as clear as if you had said them to me and it was truly powerful. All of the other times have been pen to paper writing quickly as I was communing with Him. He truly is an awesome God and I am so thankful to Him for giving me this precious gift of life. All praise, honor and glory are yours Almighty Father forever and ever more.
I will be praying for the return of your voice and healing.
Blessings,
Alleluiabelle
I have always thought that pruning is actually a really good thing. God only cuts away the dead lifeless parts of us that are caused by efforts of our own, not depending on the Spirit of God in us, so that we can enjoy a sweeter measure of the sap in Him and bear more of the fruit of it in our lives.
We fear it sometimes thinking that it is going to hurt, but if you ever noticed anything dead has no feeling in it and cutting it away makes what is left look much healthier, like dead skin cells and fingernails, and damaged hair.
If we know that it will actually be better for us and make us look better too, i dont think we would fight it so hard. Its a good thing!!
I also wanted to say thanks for stopping by my blog and offering your comment. I appreciate it very much.
I really like your blog. I will definitely be back.
I feel like God is trying to get through my head that only He can truly fill me up and give me all the love, affection, adoration, praise, etc. that I seem to need. We're doing Beth Moore's Measureless Love in Sunday School and I'm trying to pucker up and kiss the insecurities GOODBYE!
Big hugs to you. As we say in our church (or used to, but not so much since the "new" pastor came)...God knows and God cares. Amen.
Praying for you (both) and your journey this week and of course the next few weeks to come.
Praying the pruning will offer relief.
Praying for you and your health. Also praying for yours and your husbands ministry together.
Thank You for taking the time to stop by today.
Blessings
Praying for you... and you know what I am going through... thanks so for your prayers for me...
Blessings!
I think I am in a constant state of pruning. Sometimes I welcome it with arms wide open. These are the times that God is able to work wonders in my heart and life. Then there are the times when I don't necessarily want to be pruned but my Lord never gives up on me!! He is faithful even when I am not. Even though I shrink back into myself and resist the ultimate Gardener's work He continues to work. And slowly but surely the dead branches are removed and God's beauty, his abundant fruit,is able to shine through.
Thanks for stopping by to visit me the other day!!
