I am working on my verses for this year. And right now I am in Psalms 91 - working on the whole chapter. But I will have that post up before the weekend is over...
Today, I want to tell you about my "precious Aubrey". She is memorizing verses too. I bought the book by Susan Hunt, My ABC Bible Verses . I wish you could hear her.
A - "A soft answer turns away wrath." Proverbs 15:1
B - "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God." Matt. 5:9
C - "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right." Ephesians 6:1
D - we are working on this one....
So, in reality - I should know my 26 verses for 2009... and then I should know 26 more, as I teach Aubrey.
I pray that this will be a practice that she will continue all the days of her life.
And I will have good review as I start all over again in a couple of years with Barrett...and then on and on and on...

These ABC Bible verses are so precious. Both my older girls learned them in the Christian school they attended in kindergarten -- in the King James Version, no less.
They taught them using sign language for the first letter, too. Now my twins, in preschool at that same school, are also learning it. The end result is I'm getting them into my heart and soul, too. The one I remember the most is...
W -- What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee...
Of course, I don't remember the citation, but looking it up is Psalm 56:3.
